As the year draws to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2024, celebrate the spirit of giving, and appreciate the strength of our cooperative community.

This year has been an exciting one for Kosciusko REMC, and we’re grateful for the unwavering support of our members. The past 12 months have been full of progress and activity. From connecting with you at events like Family Safety Day and our EV Test-Drive Experience to setting a new record for member voting at the Annual Drive-Through Meeting, 2024 has certainly been eventful. We’ve enjoyed having you alongside us through every step of the journey.

One of our key focuses this year has been enhancing member benefits. Our team has worked to expand the Co-op Connections program, which is designed to bring you valuable savings while supporting local businesses. We’re excited to have welcomed new partners into the program, allowing our members to enjoy more special offers on products and services. If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to download the Co-op Connections app to access discounts at both local and national businesses, just in time for holiday shopping.

As we celebrate this season of generosity and gratitude, it’s also a fitting moment to reflect on the history of electric cooperatives in our great nation and right here at Kosciusko REMC. Electric cooperatives were born out of a spirit of community and service during the 1930s when rural America was, quite literally, left in the dark. Neighbors came together to bring electricity to their homes and farms, sharing resources to build a better future for everyone. That same spirit lives on today. Since 1939, Kosciusko REMC has proudly served our members, lighting homes, and strengthening our community. This holiday season, as we celebrate the warmth and light that fill our homes, we’re reminded of the power of working together to build a brighter future.
