The seasons may change, but the reliability of our electricity and our commitment to our community doesn’t! Every year, we release a full report of all the grants we have given out to community organizations through Operation Round Up. Flip to page 8 to read this report. Along with this, we feature the stories of two of these grant recipients, which appear on page 6.

Operation Round Up is a program that allows members to opt in to round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar. This money is then placed in a fund at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation and distributed to local non-profits. Last year, we awarded $93,226 in grants to improve our local community. It is amazing the impact our members can have when they do something as small as just rounding up their electric bill!

In other news, KREMC will be at Family Safety Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Warsaw Central Park. Our linemen will be there presenting their Live Line Demonstration, which teaches the importance of electric line safety to kids and adults alike. This family-friendly event is filled with health and safety resources for everyone, so don’t miss it!

We hope you enjoy this season of getting back into a routine after the chaos of the summer. Head out to Family Safety Day this month and choose to opt-in to Operation Round Up if you haven’t already! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this community and to make it a better place for all of us.
