Each month, members who wish to participate in Operation Round Up can allow Orange County REMC to automatically round their electric and/or fiber bills to the next highest dollar. The amount contributed by each member is less than a dollar a month and will average about $6 a year. Those extra few dollars from our members can have a large impact on groups and organizations making a big difference in our community. In the most recent meeting of the Operation Round Up board of trustees, six local organizations received grants. Details of the funds awarded are listed below.

Orange County Habitat for Humanity received a grant for $611 to purchase a water heater.

Hands of Grace received a grant for $500 to pay for improvements and upgrades for the Grace Recovery Home.

Southern Indiana Community Health Care received a $1,000 grant to purchase an adjustable exam table.

Families Rising received a $500 grant for miscellaneous expenses.

Paoli Community Schools Nurse’s Donation Fund received a $600 grant to purchase clothing, health supplies, and glasses for students.

Springs Valley Youth Football received a $1,166 grant for its Helmet Replacement Program.

Pride of Paoli Band Boosters received a $2,000 grant to purchase food for band students.
