If you’re planting trees around your home and there are overhead power lines along your street or near your home, follow the guide below to ensure the safety and reliability of our electric distribution system.

Also, remember that you should always call 811 or visit indiana811.org at least two full working days before digging. Having underground utility lines marked before digging is mandated by law. Not doing so can lead to inconvenient utility service outages, expensive repair bills, serious injury, or even death.

If you are concerned about vegetation close to a power line, utility pole, or other electrical infrastructure, please send us an email at contactus@bremc.com or call us at 800-897-7362.
