Warren County REMC Is an electric distribution cooperative owned by our members. Equity accumulates on each REMC account when revenues exceed the cost of doing business, termed capital credits.

After a time determined by the board of directors, capital credits from each account are allocated or retired to the  accountholder or his/her heirs. In December, Warren County REMC disbursed capital credits from our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance in the amount of $140,911.95 for the years 2003 to 2005 and a portion of 2006.

Current accounts active during the years specified, received their capital credits payout as a credit on their December billing. Inactive accounts with accrued capital credits over $20, were issued checks to the accountholders or designated agents of the accounts. Please note: the checks are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.

Any questions concerning capital credits should be directed to Warren County REMC at 765-762-6114.
