Academic background: 2018 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. Currently a senior at Marian University in Indianapolis, studying history and communication with a digital media concentration.

Excurricular activities: Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, the Marian Phoenix, Marian Ambassadors, and the Marian Knight Dance Team (two seasons as a performing athlete and two as a social media manager). Gaining experience in social media management, marketing, audio and video production, writing, and event planning. “I am enthusiastic about using this experience in my internship with Decatur County REMC.”

Internship duties: Producing content for social media, monitoring social media accounts while creating strategies for engagement, and implementing strategic communication methods. Will also be assisting with corporate and community event planning. “I am grateful to be working for an organization that has provided me with incredible opportunities as I was a 2017 Youth Tour participant, representing Decatur County REMC and Indiana Electric Cooperatives at the national conference of over 1,000 students.”

Thoughts about the REMC and the internship: “Through my involvement with Youth Tour and our week-long trip to Washington, D.C., I learned firsthand about the incredible work REMC does for Decatur County, bringing affordable and reliable service to our area while keeping the community at the heart of it all. I am a firm believer that for an organization to be successful, the people they represent should be at the forefront, and it is refreshing to be with a group that shares the same beliefs. Through my internship, I hope to be able to connect more with Decatur County residents through social media and events while executing outstanding communication skills. As a lifelong Decatur County resident, I know just how incredible our community is — from its locals to its businesses and schools. I am thrilled to have this opportunity, and I look forward to the coming months.”
