At this year’s annual meeting on June 8, LaGrange County REMC members will have the opportunity to vote for individuals to represent them for the following districts:

District 3: All of Bloomfield Township and the east portion of Clay Township, being all of Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25, 35 and 36, the northwest one-quarter of Section 3 and the east one-half of Sections 10, 15, 22, 27 and 34. Currently served by Tony Bontrager, who was recently appointed to the position after Jeff Hampshire’s retirement.

District 5: The east two-thirds of Johnson Township, which includes sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35 and 36, and Milford Township, excluding sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and the northeast one-quarter of Section 12 and the north one-half and southeast one-quarter of Section 12. Currently served by Shane Rasler.

District 6: The west one-third of Johnson Township, which includes sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30, 31 and 32, and part of Clearspring Township, which includes sections 25 and 36. Currently served by Jeff Brill.

District 7: This is the director-at-large, who can be from anywhere in the cooperative service area. Currently served by Roger Domer.

Qualified members of LaGrange County REMC, who live in those districts up for election, may seek election by filing a petition with the signatures of 50 LaGrange County REMC members supporting the candidacy. Petitions for election and other board information are provided by the REMC, and must be completed and returned no later than April 8.
