As the Marketing Communication: Coordinator for Jay County REMC, a large part of my job is community relations and community-based programs. Every year, I work to improve existing programs and create new ones that address the needs we see in our communities.

This year, weve added an event focused on farmers and safety around power lines and grain bins. The Farmers Safety Supper will be a free pork chop dinner along with a hot line demonstration and a grain bin demonstration. We are inviting all local farmers to this event, and you do not need to be a Jay County REMC member to attend. Safety around power lines is a concern for everyone, not just our members.

This event will be held on Sept.11 at our offices from 5: 30 to 7 p. m. Space is limited at this time, but if you are interested in attending, please call us at 260-726-7121 to see if seats are available.
