As part of our deep commitment to safety, we hold regular safety training for our employees on a range of topics. Linemen attend monthly safety training. Hidden #25238002. In June, we held bucket truck rescue training for our linemen, tree crew members, and broadband crews.

Linemen also spent time on pole-top rescue training. During this annual safety exercise, crews climb a utility pole, rescue a 180-pound dummy, lower it safely to the ground, and then make their way back down. The clock starts when they begin gearing up and stops when the rescue is complete and both rescuer and “victim” are safely on the ground.

It’s serious training that helps keep our crews prepared for real-world emergencies.
