Summer is always a fast-paced season at Jasper County REMC, but more than anything, it’s a deeply rewarding one. Looking back on the past few weeks, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community we are so fortunate to serve.

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who made our recent Annual Meeting a resounding success. The event went off without a hitch, and that is a direct result of the hard work of our dedicated employees and the enthusiastic participation of our members. I would also like to congratulate JoAnn McElfresh, Kerry Miller, and Mark Kingma on their re-election to the board of directors.

What makes electric cooperatives special is our foundational structure: we exist solely to serve you, our member-owners. Member involvement is the engine that drives us forward. When you show up, vote, and share your voice, you help us refine our operations into a well-oiled machine that delivers the exact services you need and expect.

During the meeting, we were proud to officially announce our unified logo rebranding. While I mentioned this transition recently, it bears repeating, as it marks an important milestone for our co-op. As part of this broadband alignment under the Jasper County Electric Cooperative banner, we are also rolling out updated service packages and price points designed to better fit your household’s needs. I encourage you to call our office so our team can help you find the best option for your home.

Our presence in the community certainly didn’t stop at the fairgrounds after the Annual Meeting wrapped up. I had the privilege of serving as a judge for the 4-H electric projects, where the talent and ingenuity of our local youth were on full display. Our team also had a great time participating in the annual cake and pie auction, and we wrapped up a wonderful week at the 4-H livestock auction. Seeing so many friends, families, and neighbors gathered together at the fair was a true highlight of the summer.

Beyond the fair, Jasper County REMC was out in full force at the Touch of Dutch festival, among several other local events. While this time of year keeps our entire team moving at full speed, being out in the community and connecting with you face-to-face makes every moment worth it.

Thank you for your continued support, your engagement, and for making Jasper County REMC such a strong cooperative family.
