The WIN Energy REMC Community Trust recently presented five grants totaling $15,037.76 to the following organizations:
- Heart to Heart, Inc. received $2,400 toward the purchase of mother and baby safety items for its learn and earn program.
- Helping His Hands Disaster Response, Inc. received $2,400 toward the purchase of a mini excavator.
- Life After Meth, Inc. received $1,468.76 to purchase a laptop and medication cabinets.
- Pike County Christian Assistance, Inc. received $2,000 to purchase food for families in need.
- Thunderbird Fire Protection Territory received $6,769 to purchase a battery-powered ventilation fan.
When you are a member of WIN Energy REMC, you can contribute to the Operation Round Up program, allowing worthy causes in our communities to work together to help others. Thank you to the WIN Energy REMC members who round up their electric bills to the highest dollar each month. Since the inception of the program in May 2013, 257 grants have been awarded to local organizations totaling over $793,000.
