The Marshall County REMC linemen assisted Walnut Township by installing six 55-foot poles. These poles will have tornado sirens installed in June. Six local high school seniors were the recipients of the Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Round Up scholarships totaling $8,000. Two $2,000 scholarships and four $1,000 scholarships are given annually to graduating high school seniors whose parents/guardians participate in the Operation Round Up program.
