As we begin a new year, Carroll White REMC is excited for our 2026 projects and work plans. Throughout the year, we will keep members updated in detail about goals that ensure that we continue to provide you with reliable, safe, and affordable service.

As we kick off 2026, we are excited about the upcoming PACE program. PACE stands for Powering Affordable Clean Energy. With support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a nearly $30 million investment, Carroll White REMC is working with our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance, to take part in PACE.

What does this mean for our members? There are three PACE projects identified to help members. The first project is a battery storage unit at the Waste No Energy digester east of Monticello. The digester charges a battery storage unit. If our power east of Monticello near the Idaville area is interrupted, the battery storage unit will disperse power to help keep members connected. All energy from the PACE projects will be consumed by our Carroll White REMC members.

The other two projects are in conjunction with Rose Acre Egg Farms sites. Here, solar power will charge batteries and help keep Rose Acres Farms’ facilities operational when needed. Rose Acres impacts the local economy and has grown to become the second-largest egg producer in the United States.

System reliability is vital to our member-owned cooperative. PACE will allow us to make line and substation upgrades. It will also help with shifting energy use during peak times. This project will help stabilize rates for our members.

The PACE program aligns perfectly with our Mission Statement of creatively enhancing our community through safety and service.

Carroll White REMC is excited about the future and looks forward to serving our members in innovative and better ways during 2026. Happy New Year!
