The Carroll White REMC Operation Round Up Board of Trustees met for the 2026 Second Quarter and granted $12,550 to 13 non-profits in the service territory.

This quarter’s largest grant was $2,000 given to the Tri-County Summer Meal Program. For the past 16 years, Tri-County has provided nutritious meals free of charge to anyone 18 years old or younger during the summer months. Last summer, volunteers served 2,568 lunches and breakfasts.

Three $1,500 grants were awarded, with two going to area high schools’ Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) programs. Frontier High School and West Central High School will use the grant money to help send students to a historic National Leadership Conference scheduled in Washington, D.C., as the nation marks its 250th anniversary. More than 10,000 students and educators nationwide will be attending.

Diaper Bag Ministry of Christ Fellowship Church received the third $1,500 grant to help distribute diapers and wipes to local groups. These items are available at many local food pantries and family health clinics.

From nursery schools to high schools, Operation Round Up helps fund special projects not covered in school budgets. Medaryville Nursery School received $1,000 for a Get Set for School curriculum. This nursery school has served the community for 45 years. Carroll Junior-Senior High School Band received $1,000 to help replace instruments, and Twin Lakes High School received the same amount to make inclusive updates to the weight room.

Frontier Junior-Senior High School’s National Honor Society was granted $650 for the Every 15 Minutes Program. This is an event designed to dramatically instill in teenagers information about the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking alcohol and texting while driving.

Delphi Community High School Band received $600 for a Public Address (PA) System. West Central Elementary third graders received $600 to help them visit the Indianapolis Zoo.

Delphi Youth Baseball received $500 to help fund the installation of turf in the batting cage. The Wolcott Farmers Market received $500 to provide fresh produce for seniors and youth in their community.

Frontier High School After-Prom Committee received $200 to help provide a safe space for students following the prom.
