Wow! It’s hard to believe we are already in the second month of 2017. Although it doesn’t feel like it now, spring is right around the corner. But, until that time, the weather will be cold, and many of us will be looking for ways to survive the winter.  Below are a few comments that might interest you regarding Harrison REMC.

Energy efficiency

Harrison REMC offers many ways to help members save on their electric bill. Rebates are available for qualified high efficiency heating/cooling systems, geothermal units and heat pump water heaters.

Home lighting is another way you can save and the REMC offers discounted LED/CFL bulbs.  Click on the Team Up Lighting Rebates link on the website and you can save up to $5 for small LED lamps and reflector floods and up to $10 for large LED reflector floods or specialty lamps.

And, if you are in the market to build, buy or remodel a home, be sure to check out our monthly Touchstone Energy Home seminars.  You will learn great ways to save money through energy-efficient construction techniques.

New website design

Maintaining our communication with members is a top priority. In January, we launched a new website. We hope to make information available to members in a clean and easy to navigate website. We will continually make improvements to the site in order to create a better user experience with all the go-to information members may need.

Zero lost time hours

I would like to congratulate the employees of Harrison REMC for two consecutive years of no lost time. This is quite an achievement. Safety is a top priority in all that we do, and this would not have been achieved without the combined effort of all of the Harrison REMC employees.

Thank you

I hope all members have a happy and productive 2017, and I thank you for being an important part of our electric co-op. We look forward to providing you with safe, reliable and affordable power this year and beyond.
