On July 30, Layne Walter joined Carroll White REMC in the role of groundman for the cooperative. Born and raised in Rensselaer, Walter graduated from Rensselaer High School in 2016. He attended Blackhawk East for Ag Business Management, and before joining CW REMC, he worked on a farm.

When asked what he was most looking forward to in his role at the REMC, Walter said, Im looking for an honorable career. He said it is his work ethic that he brings to the table. I would like CW REMC members to know that I take pride in my work and appreciate this opportunity.

Walter lives in Logansport with his fiance, Lauren. She works at Logansport Hospital as an oncology nurse, said Walter. We have a beautiful daughter named Ellie.

Layne enjoys raising cattle and hunting deer and turkeys. His favorite movie is The Wolf of Wall Street.
