Kosciusko Connect recently welcomed Mark Lime to the team as a customer success partner. We sat down with him to learn more about his previous experience and what led him to Kosciusko Connect.
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO WORK FOR KOSCIUSKO CONNECT?
This opportunity was a chance for a new side of the IT profession and a change from what I had been doing as a managed service provider for the past 12 years.
CAN YOU SHARE A BIT ABOUT YOUR PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE?
I have been involved in IT for over 30 years, and much longer than that throughout my life. I started out as a developer for a scale company in Fort Wayne while attending IPFW, pursuing a computer science degree. I worked for that company for over 16 years, doing custom software for data collection, networking, barcode printing and scanning, program logic controllers, and much more.
After that, I went to work for a trucking company, again in Fort Wayne, maintaining the network servers and infrastructure for their headquarters and distribution centers across the United States. I was with this company for approximately four years before it was purchased.
That led me to work for a managed service provider based in Wabash with a Warsaw-based office. I worked for this company for nearly 12 years. We managed and maintained clients IT infrastructure, computers/servers, etc., for companies that needed IT staff. KREMC was one of our clients before the addition of Kosciusko Connect, and the internal IT staff was able to take over these responsibilities. And now here I am today.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR NEW ROLE AT KOSCIUSKO CONNECT?
The new challenges for being on the other side of an ISP and continuing those business and personal relationships I have built over the years.
WHAT HAVE YOUR FIRST FEW WEEKS BEEN LIKE?
Quick! Just getting my stride and figuring things out. Trying to help out wherever I can.
WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE WITH US REGARDING YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Ive been married for 22 years and have three daughters, two granddaughters, two grandsons, and a grand dog. I love to be outdoors, away from technology. Im an Eagle Scout, class of 1991. Ive been an archery coach at Whitko for 10 years now and have been the head coach for five of those.
One of my favorite sayings, I have many, but at the top of the list is, You have to grow old, you dont have to grow up!
