WHAT services and products does your business offer?
Gene & Grace Creations offers custom designing and printing of custom apparel, and we also offer a wide variety of women’s clothing from regular to plus sizes, along with a wide variety of accessories. This fall/winter of 2026, we will start carrying youth girls’ items.
Why did you decide to open a business in Jasper County?
I decided to open a business in Jaspe] County because why not follow your dreams in a community where you grew up and have all the love and support from friends and family.
What makes your business unique?
My business is named after both of my children’s middle names, Charlie Gene and Madeline Grace. What makes Gene & Grace unique is that I can create a DTF (direct-to-film) design for businesses, schools, and personal designs on many types of garments, and I also carry boutique clothing. It’s like having two businesses in one store. Also, last August, I started a mobile boutique trailer that lets me travel to different festivals and shows, which I have enjoyed.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of owning Gene & Grace Creations is seeing the look on my customers’ faces after I’ve completed their custom design order, and they love the finished product that I have made for them. Even weeks or months later, I will see customers who have gotten items from me and tell me that they get so many compliments on their shirt. Also, when someone has been looking for a pair of jeans all over, they visit my mobile boutique trailer, come out, and ask, “How do these look?” with a big smile on their face because they feel good in what they found at my store.
Anything else you would like to share?
My business wouldn’t be what it is today without my family and friends. The customers who have purchased items from me over the years have turned into good friends. Hidden #14188001. My business has grown over the last 11 years by word of mouth and going to those little craft shows and setting up, hoping my business would be something one day. I look back now at those days and tell myself that it was all worth the sweat, the tears, and all the running around that has made what Gene & Grace Creations is today. I can’t thank my family, friends, and customers enough for helping Gene & Grace Creations grow. I can’t wait to see where we go next.
