As we roll into summer, we remain firmly focused on our members. As a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative, our core mission is to serve our members and our community. Here are some of the ways we are engaging with our community this summer:
ANNUAL MEETING AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION
The Drive-Through Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Election is this month on Thursday, June 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. If you have not already, you should receive your invitation and ballot in the mail soon. Bring your ballot and attend the Drive-Through Meeting to receive a $10 bill credit, a free meal, and a special gift. Online voting is also available and will be open on our website until June 9. Please note that if you vote online, you can still attend the Drive-Through Meeting, but you will not be able to vote a second time. The Annual Meeting Broadcast video will also air on Thursday, June 4, at 7 p.m. on our YouTube Channel, along with the chance to win some gift cards!
Your voice matters, so make it heard by voting this year! Stay tuned to our social media for the election results after the Annual Meeting.
WIRED TO SERVE PROGRAM
This year, we launched a new internal program called Wired to Serve, which will provide our employees with quarterly opportunities throughout the year to volunteer in our local community.
In March, eight KREMC employees volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help build a house for a mom and her two kids. Last month, nine employees volunteered at the Tracey’s Trailer Bike Safety Rodeo, an event led by the KCV Cycling Club. This program teaches local elementary students how to ride their bikes safely. Connecting with and serving our local community is at the heart of what we do, and we look forward to creating more opportunities to do just that.
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY COMMUNITY FAIR
Every year, we sponsor the Kosciusko County Community Fair. This year, we will be handing out bottled water and other giveaways and providing kids’ activities. We look forward to seeing our members out at the fair on Tuesday, July 14.
We have a fast paced and fun summer ahead as we serve our members throughout the community. I hope you will take the time to vote during our Annual Meeting. We can’t wait to see you there!
