As your board president, I want to take a moment to share an important update and express my sincere gratitude during this exciting season of transition for our cooperative.

First, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Violet Sistovaris for her outstanding leadership and dedication during her tenure as interim CEO. Stepping into a leadership role during a time of change is never easy. Violet has done so with professionalism, confidence, and a deep commitment to our members, employees, and communities. Her steady guidance has helped ensure continuity, stability, and forward momentum as the board of directors conducted a thorough search for our next CEO.

Violet’s leadership has been instrumental in helping us navigate this transition smoothly, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and expertise she has brought to the cooperative during this important period.

I am also pleased to share that the board has completed the interview process and has extended an offer to our selected CEO candidate. At the time of writing this article, we are not yet able to publicly announce the individual’s name, but we are excited about what lies ahead. By the time you are reading this, we anticipate our new CEO will be in their first days at the cooperative, beginning the important work of getting to know our employees, our members, and the communities we proudly serve.

The candidate we have selected brings strong industry experience, proven leadership, and the knowledge and expertise needed to guide our cooperative into the future. We were intentional throughout this process in finding someone who not only understands the electric cooperative business model but also values the member-first philosophy that makes cooperatives unique. As a cooperative providing both electric and broadband services, our next CEO must be prepared to lead with a forward-thinking approach that supports reliability, innovation, and the evolving needs of our members.

Transitions like this are significant and create opportunities for growth, innovation, and forward momentum. This is an exciting time for our cooperative. We are building on a strong foundation while preparing for the future, and we are confident that our next CEO will help lead us with vision, integrity, and a continued focus on serving you — our members.
