In March, Tyler Tetzloff joined Carroll White REMC as director of information technology (IT).
Tetzloff was born and raised in Monticello and attended Meadowlawn Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, and graduated from Twin Lakes High School. “While at Twin Lakes, I played baseball,” said Tetzloff. “For many years, I worked at Twin Lakes Cinema selling tickets, working concessions, and cleaning the theater after every show. Later, I earned an associate’s degree in information technology from Ivy Tech Community College.”
“With over 20 years of experience in IT leadership, I have experience in infrastructure management, cybersecurity, system modernization, and team leadership,” said Tetzloff. “I’m prepared to help strengthen and modernize the technology that keeps REMC running smoothly and securely. I’m excited to bring modern IT practices to a member-owned cooperative that plays a vital role in rural communities. I look forward to helping ensure reliable, innovative, and secure technology that supports excellent service to Carroll White REMC members every day!”
When asked what Tetzloff would most like REMC members to know about him, he responded, “I’m a proud Hoosier who grew up in White County. I’m passionate about using technology to solve problems quietly in the background so that the cooperative can focus on what matters most…serving our members and communities.”
“I’m grateful to be part of the REMC team and look forward to contributing to our shared success,” stated Tetzloff. “I’m relatively new to the Carroll White REMC service area and look forward to being more involved in the local community and supporting the cooperative’s mission.”
Currently, Tetzloff lives in Reynolds. “I’m married to the love of my life, Sarah,” he said. “She is the secretary/treasurer at Oaklawn Elementary School. We have six children: Sidney (19), Alaina (8), Alivia (15), Austin (13), Temperance (11), and our newest addition, Cosette (5 weeks).”
“Spending quality time with my wife and children is my top priority,” said Tetzloff. “I love reading books, being outdoors, working on construction projects, and being on the water riding wave runners. I also love listening to, writing, and playing music. I enjoy staying current with technology trends and enjoy the occasional movie or video game night.”
Tetzloff’s life philosophy is to work hard, stay curious, and always treat people with respect. “I have always taken the position that I treat an entry-level employee in the same way I treat the CEO of any company. In technology and in life, I believe continuous learning and strong teamwork are the keys to solving complex problems and delivering real value.”
