Tipmont asks for your help to reduce encounters between Tipmont personnel and any reactive dogs running loose in rights-of-way on your property where we require access.

If you have a loose or reactive dog on your property, please call 800-726-3953 (from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday) or email memberservice@tipmont.com to let a member service representative know.

They will note this on your account, which will help Tipmont make every effort to alert you ahead of time to our presence in these areas. Your assistance in securing the animal in these instances is greatly appreciated

WHAT IS A RIGHT-OF-WAY?

A right of way is a type of easement or agreement with property owners that grants Tipmont the legal right to access and manage small portions of your property. The purpose is to maintain the lines that bring electricity and fiber-optic internet to your home, farm and / or your business, and those of your neighbors.

WHY WOULD TIPMONT REQUIRE ACCESS?

Tipmont personnel would require access to these areas to address utility-related issues (such as a service outage) or perform necessary maintenance to ensure service reliability. This includes overhead and underground lines and equipment, such as your electric meter or fiber-optic network interface device (NID).

WHAT IS TIPMONT DOING TO AVOID ENCOUNTERS WITH LOOSE / REACTIVE DOGS?

Tipmont will always try to contact you for any scheduled infrastructure updates, such as meter upgrades or conversion of overhead infrastructure to underground.

Field staff for Tipmont also has undergone training to quickly recognize and positively respond to reactive dog behavior in ways that aim to avoid or mitigate the animals response.
