Wholesale power cost relief for BCREMC members in November

At BCREMC, we understand the financial pressures that rising wholesale power costs can place on households and businesses. That’s why we are taking proactive steps to support our members with a monthly refund listed on your bill as BCREMC Wholesale Power Cost Relief. The amount of your refund is based on the kilowatt-hours (kWh) you use.

The power we purchase from our wholesale provider, Hoosier Energy, is subject to price fluctuations. These changes appear on your bill as the Wholesale Tracker, a pass-through charge based on your kWh consumption. The tracker is recalculated and adjusted every quarter to reflect wholesale market conditions.

On bills arriving mid-November and early December, members will see:

  • Fourth quarter wholesale power tracker set at $0.015778 per kWh
  • November relief credit of $0.004192 per kWh
  • Net tracker charge of $0.011586 per kWh

This initiative goes beyond providing financial relief. It reflects BCREMC’s commitment to keeping power safe, reliable, and affordable while helping ease the impact of unpredictable market changes.
