Throughout 2025, Bartholomew County REMC has provided members with a monthly Wholesale Power Cost Relief adjustment. During this time of ongoing inflation, we remain committed to lessening the impact of rising wholesale power costs that are passed on to members through the Wholesale Tracker.

The relief credit applies to all active accounts receiving electricity from BCREMC. The refund amount is based directly on each member’s kilowatt-hour (kWh) use and appears on your bill as “BCREMC Wholesale Power Cost Relief.”

For the past three years, this monthly credit has helped offset increases in the Wholesale Tracker, providing consistent financial relief to our members. Members will see the latest Wholesale Power Cost Relief credit of $0.003139 per kWh reflected on mid-December bills and those sent at the beginning of January. In addition, members who received electricity from BCREMC in the years 1996 through 1999 and 2017 will also see a capital credit refund included on these same bills.

BCREMC continues to look for ways to operate efficiently while maintaining the friendly, reliable service you’ve come to expect. We are grateful for your membership and pleased to provide you with continued relief during this time of economic pressure.
