Welcome back!

The eighth Heartland REMC Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 25, at the Huntington County Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and will last until 12:30 p.m.

Important to all members is the election. Once members have registered, they will receive a ballot and can immediately cast their vote in the 2022 Board of Directors Election. There are five director seats up for election this year. All directors are elected at-large, which means members have the right to vote for directors in all five districts.

After registering and casting your ballot, you will be treated to a buffet lunch provided by Nelson’s BBQ.

The Huntington Dairy Queen outlets will be providing free ice cream and the Ossian Conversation Club will have free sugar corn. There will be several vendors on hand as well, including TransWorld Network with information on the new broadband initiative; Wabash Valley Power, the wholesale provider for Heartland REMC, and Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.

The business meeting is set for 1 p.m. Heartland REMC members can then learn about the progress of the cooperative over the last year. Near the end of the meeting, a random drawing will be held, and 20 scholarships will be awarded to students whose parents or guardians are members of Heartland REMC.

A map to the Huntington County Fairgrounds can be found in this newsletter, and don’t forget to bring your postcard to access our rapid entry line and be entered into a $100 bill credit drawing!

Can’t make it to the annual meeting?

Beginning June 13, you can vote early at your local Heartland REMC office during business hours.
