If you’re a KV REMC member with a load management switch installed on your water heater, you should have already received a letter letting you know that the water heater switch program will end on Jan. 1.

This program was made possible through the support of our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance, as part of its load management program. Unfortunately, they have decided to end their support for the program, and as a result, we can no longer continue offering it.

As part of this change, the on-bill credit of $2 per month that you are currently receiving for participating in the program will end after Dec. 31, 2025. The switch installed on your water heater will no longer be used to control your water heater’s operation for energy management purposes. You will not need to return the switch.
