Grant funding

Adding a few cents to your energy bill can flip a switch to improve lives and communities.

In January 2024, Tipmont distributed over $9,000 in grants from its Operation Round Up and EnviroWatts programs. These grants funded public safety initiatives, STEM education activities, and energy efficiency in the communities we serve.

OPERATION ROUND UP

Round up your monthly Tipmont electric bill to the nearest dollar. Your tax-deductible average annual contribution of $6 benefits such area nonprofit efforts as:

  • New pagers for the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department, encouraging a more effective response from Fountain County volunteer firefighters serving 6,500 people.
  • Tablets and accessories for the McCutcheon Maverick Robotics Boosters, on which to develop apps that scout the performance of competing robots. The club will use the data to enhance its own robots’ quality.

ENVIROWATTS

Add just one cent per kilowatt-hour to your monthly Tipmont electric bill (with a $5 monthly maximum). You will support such local sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental-improvement efforts as:

  • LED lighting fixtures at Frankfort’s CORE Community Center to support energy-efficient usage and childcare, outreach, recreation, and education for children, adults, and families.
