Clark County Fish Fry 2025

More than 800 cars and 1,300 people arrived at our facility July 25, more than double the turnout we usually have for significant events at our office. We parked cars on every inch of our property!

Our Jamboree gift, a set of seat cushions, was incredibly popular, but due to high demand and an amazing turnout, we ran out of gifts before 2 p. m. Every year, these gifts are available while supplies last, but this is the first year we ran out of them before the end of the event. Thank you for the tremendous support.

Live music by local southern Indiana duo Kel + Ro Music was a huge hit, and many members asked to bring them back in the future. Check them out online if you werent there to hear them yourself!

Extreme temperatures didnt keep many members home. Even with a heat index of 105 and the event happening in an open warehouse, members still wanted to gather for good food and to catch up with friends and family. With shaded seating and plenty of bottled water, we kept everyone as cool as possible, but it was still very hot.

The unsung hero of this years Fish Fry is the money raised for our Lend a Hand program. Member donations totaled just over $2,600, and since the REMC Board of Directors has approved for those donations to be matched, our members helped to raise $5,260! This money will help local REMC members who may have fallen behind on their electric bills. Since the program started in 2020, more than $40,000 has been given to families in need, and we are glad to see this program continue to keep the lights on.
