Take control of your electric bill

Do you want to have more control over how much you spend each month for electricity? If the answer is “yes,” then Warren County REMC has an option for you. It is called Pre Pay Electric Service and it’s now available to our members.

You start Pre Pay by initiating pre-paid service with as little as $50. No deposit is necessary.

The only requirement is that you maintain a credit balance of any amount on your Pre Pay account.

You can add kilowatt-hours (kWh) to your account with cash, credit or debit card in any amount above $5. Payments are accepted 24 hours a day by phone or online at wcremc.com without additional charges or fees.

If you owe a previous balance, you can continue to make payments toward it while on the Pre Pay program.

If you have paid a previous deposit, once you switch to Pre Pay, you can use that deposit to pay off old bills or credit it to your account.

As your home uses electricity, it is automatically subtracted from your account.

Once your Pre Pay account drops below a certain point, you’ll receive an automated message via email or text informing you that your account is low.

If your account is depleted, service will be disconnected automatically.

Once kWhs are added to your account, your meter is armed for reconnection.

Do I qualify for the Pre Pay program?

Any residential member whose meter can be reliably read via our automated meter reading system can be put on the Pre Pay program.

Note: Only members with 200-amp service are eligible for the program at this time.
