Connor Davis, Annie Delgadillo and Gabriela McHugh represented Steuben County REMC on the 2018 Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

Steuben County REMC is invested in our local youth; we care about our future generations, and so should you!

That’s why we need your help spreading the word about two great free programs for local kids — Touchstone Energy Camp and Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

Each January, the application period opens up for these two incredible programs. In June, three lucky winners get to attend a free summer camp or an all-expenses-paid trip to D.C., and we are always astonished that more kids don’t apply to take advantage of these opportunities.

Take it from the mouths of this year’s attendees; the trip is absolutely worth it!

“I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime in a span of one week. Name a different trip that can give you that and so much more,” said Gabriela McHugh, an Angola High School student.

“Youth Tour was more than just touring the amazing monuments and places; the people I was able to share the experience with definitely altered my perception to genuinely appreciate every moment,” said Angola High School student Annie Delgadillo. “Each day was filled with new experiences that I will hold forever, as I take every lesson I learned and apply it to my life. I am truly grateful to the REMC for allowing me to have this life changing experience!”

Check out our Facebook albums at facebook.com/SteubenCountyREMC to see all of the fun once-in-a-lifetime adventures your child or grandchild could experience. And keep an eye out this December/January for more information on how to apply!

By the way, did we mention that it’s FREE?
