Steuben County REMC awards Operation Round Up grants

As your co-op, we are empowered to do more for our community. Steuben County REMC members recently awarded funds to five local organizations through the Operation Round Up program. The average contribution by a member per year is $6, with a maximum contribution of $11.88. These pennies, donated by members like you, add up to significantly impact our local community.

The Steuben County REMC Operation Round Up program is accepting grant applications. The next due date is June 27.

This fund benefits the local community and focuses on economic development. Some funded projects include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement of Steuben County, and local food banks and youth programs.

501(c)(3) organizations can apply at steubenfoundation.org and access the grant portal by selecting Apply and then Grants at the top of the page.

THIS QUARTER’S GRANTEES ARE: 

  • Well Child Clinic Land of Lakes Family Health Services for financial medical assistance program 
  • BSA- Anthony Wayne Area Council, Inc. for Soarin’ Hawk Raptor Rescue Program, LED conversion,and Fort Cooper stockade repairs 
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana for youth mentoring in Steuben County 
  • McMillen Health for preventive health education for Steuben County 
  • Steuben County Community Foundation, Inc. for Steuben County Early Childhood Coalition seed funding 
  • Community Harvest Food Bank of NE IN, Inc. for Steuben County Farm Wagon
