In June, Operations Manager Tod Brems and Communications Specialist Arianna Thome chaperoned two groups of students at Camp Kilowatt 2025 — a unique blend of summer camp fun and hands-on learning. Marshall County REMC also sponsored one camper from our service area to attend, Onya Stackhouse.  

Held annually at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana, Camp Kilowatt gives students the chance to enjoy classic camp activities like ziplining, horseback riding, and swimming, while also diving into lessons on electrical safety, energy use, and careers in the electric cooperative world. 

The camp is open to current sixth graders who live in Marshall County. If you know a future camper with a spark for adventure and learning, this could be the perfect fit! Applications reopen in December 2025 and will be open through March 2026.
