Thanks to our members who participate in our Operation Round Up program. Since the beginning of the program in January 2002, over $462,000 has been given back to our community.

The following organizations received Operation Round Up funds this quarter:

  • Reason 4 Hope, Inc.— $2,000 to help host a motivational community event in LaGrange County.
  • LaGrange County Council on Aging, Inc (COA) — $3,500 to help purchase a wheelchair accessible van to transport elderly, handicapped and veterans to doctor’s appointments, pick up groceries and more.
  • The Shipshewana Fire Department — $1,000 for a personal protective equipment drying cabinet.

We are thankful for the people in LaGrange County willing to serve others. LaGrange County REMC, through Operation Round Up and our members, is honored to be able to provide money for the different organizations that help to make LaGrange County a better place to live.

If you are part of a civic organization providing services to people of our community, we encourage you to apply for funding. Applications can be picked up at our office at 1995 E. U.S. 20, LaGrange or downloaded from lagrangeremc.com.

To be considered for funding for the next quarter, applications are due in our office by Jan. 2, 2018.
