Southern Indiana Power proudly sponsored two exceptional students, Tyler Kleaving and Tila Jones, on the 2025 Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D. C. an unforgettable journey designed to educate and inspire tomorrows leaders.

During the weeklong trip, the students explored some of our nations most significant sites, including the Flight 93 Memorial, Gettysburg Battlefield, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Smithsonian museums. They also toured the National Museum of the Marine Corps and the National Mall, experiencing American history firsthand.

The students connected with peers from across the U. S., attended a youth rally hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), and spent a day on Capitol Hill, meeting with members of Indianas congressional delegation to discuss key issues.

Youth Tour provides young Hoosiers with a deeper appreciation for American democracy and the role of electric cooperatives in their communities. Southern Indiana Power is proud to invest in the future by supporting programs that empower our youth.
