Our spray crew began working last month in the northern Perry County areas of Uniontown and Doolittle Mills. Later in the summer, crews will move to areas served by the Evanston substation. The members affected will be in the areas of New Boston, Avery Ridge Road, Huffman Mill Road, Cletus Schaeffer Road, Evanston, Old Lamar Highway to Mulzer’s Camp area, St. Peter’s Church Road and Lamar.

Southern Indiana Power also conducts utility pole inspection and treatment on a rotating cycle to help maintain high quality and reliable service while delivering electricity to our members. Your co-op contracts with a company to treat utility poles. Crews from Geoforce will be in the territory served by the New Haven substation, including Dale, Mariah Hill, Ferdinand and St. Meinrad areas, for approximately three months — May through July. They will inspect and treat up to 3,000 poles in this cycle.
