Marshall County REMC, in conjunction with eight other northeast Indiana electric cooperatives, sponsors the Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana. The sponsorship by the northeast Indiana cooperatives allows for each vet on the flight to receive a memory book, which includes a recap of the events throughout the day.

The Honor Flight Network is a nonprofit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices by flying them to Washington, D.C. to reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to WWll survivors along with other veterans who are terminally ill. All flights are free of charge to the veterans being honored.

If you know a World War ll, Korean War or Vietnam veteran, nominate him or her for the next available Honor Flight. Veteran applications can be found on the Northeast Indiana Honor Flight website at www.hfnei.org. For more information or questions on the Honor Flight, call the office at 260-633-0049.
