As another year draws to a close, I find myself filled with gratitude and pride for all that we’ve accomplished together as a cooperative family. This year has been a year of progress, connection, and continued dedication to serving our members, who are at the heart of everything we do.

From expanding how we share information to strengthening the reliability of our electric system, we’ve made strides that reflect both innovation and our unwavering commitment to community. This year, we launched the Current Matters email newsletter and the Power Hour podcast. We are happy to offer new ways to keep members informed, engaged, and connected to what’s happening at their co-op.

Our line crew once again demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, responding to every outage with professionalism and heart. Behind the scenes, we continued investing in system improvements and announced plans for a new substation that will bring even greater reliability to members in the Harrisburg area.

Equally important has been our connection with the communities we serve. Whether it was hosting school tours and job shadow opportunities, or welcoming families to our Meet the Candidates event in May, we’ve enjoyed seeing more faces and fostering stronger local ties. Programs like our Summer Cooperative Camp helped inspire the next generation of leaders, and we were proud to award $1,000 scholarships to six outstanding local graduates.

Our team members also achieved impressive professional milestones, earning new certifications and growing in their fields. Their accomplishments are a testament to the skill and dedication that keep our cooperative strong.

We were thrilled to host the inaugural Power Swing Classic golf outing, which raised an incredible $13,000 for Secret Families of Henry County. Through Operation Round Up, we distributed grants to 15 local nonprofit organizations, and our Solar Energy Seminar provided members with an opportunity to learn directly from their neighbors about their experiences with renewable energy.

As we celebrate these successes, I also want to recognize our board of directors, who continue to work closely with our leadership team to guide the cooperative’s strategic direction. Their vision ensures that we remain focused not only on today’s needs but also on building a foundation for future generations.

When we talk about the cooperative difference, this is what we mean — people coming together, working toward shared goals, and strengthening the communities we call home. Thank you for being part of our story this year. Together, we’ll continue to power possibility, connection, and care in 2026 and beyond.

From all of us at your cooperative family, we wish you a joyful holiday season and a bright new year ahead.
