Pumpkin Pecan Pie Recipe


  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup canned pureed pumpkin
  • 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 t. pumpkin pie spice
  • 2⁄3 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 T. margarine, melted
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans (halves or chopped)


Combine egg, pumpkin, sugar and pumpkin pie spice in bowl. Spread over bottom of pie shell.

For the Pecan Layer

Combine corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, margarine and vanilla in bowl. Stir in pecans. Spoon over pumpkin layer. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 45-50 minutes or until filling is set. Cool on wire rack. Serve plain with ice cream or whipped topping.
