Full-of-Greens Smoothie

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 banana, cut in chunks
  • 5–6 shakes cinnamon
  • 3–4 shakes ginger
  • 3–4 shakes turmeric
  • ½ avocado, cut in chunks
  • 2 cups kale, thoroughly washed and packed into the cup
  • Juice from 2 lemons
  • 1¼ to 1½ cups frozen fruit


In a blender, combine coconut water, banana, spices and avocado until smooth. Add kale and lemon juice. Blend thoroughly. Add frozen fruit and blend until smooth.

Editor’s note: This is a good way to add healthful kale, along with other nutritious ingredients, to your diet.
