Chocolate Beer Cake

1 (15.25 oz.) box chocolate cake mix

1 cup beer (Editor’s note: When we tested the recipe, we used a stout beer.)

3 eggs

¼ cup oil

¼ t. baking soda

Beat together the cake mix, eggs and beer. Add oil and baking soda; beat until blended. Pour into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan. Bake at 350 F for 23-26 minutes. (If using a Bundt pan, bake for 30-33 minutes.) Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Frost with any canned frosting or glaze.
