Rebates for efficiency

Marshall County Jail located in Plymouth recently received a POWER MOVES® rebate. County Commissioner President Kevin Overmyer, County Council President Judy Stone, Doug Masterson of the Marshall County Jail and Electrician Jim Griewank collaborated with Marshall County REMC on upgrades through the POWER MOVES® program.

Marshall County Jail received $7,950 in rebates for efficiency upgrades that included installing 1,325 LED bulbs, reducing its annual energy use by 123,054 kWh. The Marshall County Jail also received an additional $1,300 in 2017 for energy efficiency upgrades to its facility.

POWER MOVES® is an energy efficiency program offered by Marshall County REMC in conjunction with its wholesale power provider, Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA).
