Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Round Up Trust awarded six high school graduates with scholarships totaling $8,000. Two $2,000 and four $1,000 scholarships were awarded. 

To be eligible for the scholarship, students’ parent(s) or guardian(s) must be KV REMC member-consumers and participate in the Operation Round Up Trust program. Applicants were required to complete an application identifying their involvement in school and community activities. Additionally, they provided letters of recommendation, a copy of their transcript and an essay describing a community or neighborhood improvement project that they felt was worthy of Operation Round Up funding. 

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s scholarships. The applicants showed great leadership in the community and excellence in the classroom. We wish you the best of luck as you continue your education this fall.
