2021 Grants Awarded

Kankakee Valley REMC is pleased to announce the 2021 first quarter Operation Round Up grants provided to local non-profit organizations for programs to help those in need.

The Multi Agency Academic Cooperative Foundation (MAAC) received $2,000 to purchase 3 law enforcement training mannequins. MAAC, located in Valparaiso, provides training to those in the emergency services sector. The five-acre campus provides a 7,000 sq. ft. indoor training area, three 45-person classrooms, a four-story drill tower, a live burn building and much more.

Culver Youth Club, located within the Culver Community school district, received $1,000 to purchase necessary supplies for programs like Homework Help, STEM, Community Service, Health and Fitness, Horticulture and Nature and Sports and Recreation. This after-school program creates a safe and nurturing space that empowers and inspires youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Rebuilding Together Hebron, Inc. received $2,000 to assist elderly, disabled and low-income households in Hebron with repairs to improve their homes and ensure they are safe to live in. Rebuilding Together celebrates its 20th year of service to the community this year.
