OPERATION ROUND UP AWARDS TOTALED $11,325 THIS GRANT PERIOD

Operation Round Up is a volunteer program in which Southern Indiana Power members can choose to round up their electric bill to the next whole dollar each month, in order to help those in need. The money is used to provide assistance for all kinds of worthy projects in communities we serve. Operation Round Up targets non-profit organizations, groups and charities that are currently serving members of Southern Indiana Power. Below is a list of the current award recipients for the fall grant period. 

Rome Community Center: $2,000 to purchase and install a hanging furnace 

Stir-n-Up Hope: $1,200 to purchase a copier 

William Tell Senior Citizens: $2,000 to purchase eight tables and 68 chairs 

Perry County Council on Aging: $5,000 as part of a funding match of a new small transit vehicle 

Tell City Culinary Arts: $1,125 to purchase a tower garden growing system and foodsaver vacuum sealer
