October is National Co-op Month. It’s a perfect time to highlight the many ways electric cooperatives are unique.

Here at Clark County REMC, we are locally governed by a board of directors who live and work right in our own communities. This allows us to address the needs of our members quickly and specifically.

Our closeness to the community also ensures a better response to your needs because we are led by you, the people we serve. We also have different roots than most businesses.

From the very beginning, your REMC has existed to meet a need that was previously unmet, when investor-owned utilities only served people in bigger cities and towns. In 1939, people just like you banded together to form Clark County REMC. And in 2018, we are still planning how we can best meet the future needs of our members. Lastly, Clark County REMC is a co-op that cares. We give back to our communities with youth programs, safety awareness, food drives and so much more.

And in that spirit of caring, we are celebrating National Co-op Month by providing treats in our lobby and giveaways all month long. Come visit us and enter to win weekly $25 bill credits, or a grand prize of a $100 bill credit!

All you have to do is show us your FREE Co-op Connections Card or the Co-op Connections Card app. Don’t have one? No problem. We have these members-only benefit cards available at our office, or you can download the free app to your smartphone!

We hope you join us during the month of October as we recognize and celebrate National Co-op Month.
