LaGrange County REMC recently welcomed two new employees — Jayson Rainsberger and David Traylor — to the cooperative.

Rainsberger, pictured at right, came to LaGrange County REMC to serve as its network operations engineer. His role is to build, monitor and operate our brand new fiber optic broadband network.

Rainsberger; his wife, Meghann, and their three children (Adelyn, 14; Gavin, 11; Ethan, 7) live just west of LaGrange.

Rainsberger previously worked at Lakeland School Corporation and most recently at ASA Electronics as its network administrator. Having the opportunity to help bring fiber-optic broadband to the community he has always called home was a driving force in seeking out the position at LaGrange County REMC.

“I’m really excited to help bridge that digital divide for my friends and neighbors. It’s a great feeling to be a part of this project that will help out so many people in LaGrange County,” Rainsberger said.

In his spare time, he enjoys going to his kids’ sporting events, travelling to the beach with the family and off-roading.

LaGrange County REMC’s newest employee, David Traylor, pictured in the next column, is no stranger to the area. Before being the assistant controller at a company in Cincinnati and being the CFO and corporate treasurer at Vera Bradley, Traylor and his wife owned a store and bed and breakfast in Shipshewana. They previously lived in the area for 10 years.

Traylor, who became the finance and accounting manager in March, will direct the financial affairs of the cooperative and provide financial analysis and projections for strategic decision making.

Traylor and his wife, Myra, have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. In his spare time, Traylor enjoys reading and fly fishing.

Please join us in welcoming Jayson and David to the team!
