Voting Procedure

Each member of Southern Indiana Power will be mailed a registration card for the annual meeting. Members should present their registration card in person at one of the designated registration tables in order to register for the meeting and receive a ballot for the director election. Southern Indiana Power has an obligation to make a reasonable effort to confirm co-op membership prior to distributing ballots. Therefore, members who do not bring their registration card will be required to provide a photo ID prior to receiving a ballot.


RANDY KLEAVING,
DISTRICT 5 Incumbent

Randy Kleaving

Randy Kleaving and his wife, Dawn, live in Anderson Township on Ashland Road in Perry County and are the parents of two sons, Blake and Adam.Kleaving is self-employed. He owns his farming operation and raises grain and beef cattle.

He is a proud volunteer fireman and serves on the board of directors for the Anderson Township Volunteer Fire Department. He is a Perry County Farm Bureau director and also serves as the president of the board for the Perry County Commissioners.

Throughout his experience with Southern Indiana Power, he has been selected to represent the co-op on the Indiana Electric Cooperatives’ board of directors and was recently selected as secretary for IEC’s executive committee in Indianapolis. During his service on the board, he has also completed the NRECA director certification program to obtain the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) recognition.

Kleaving and his family are members of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

BURKE ETIENNE,
District 5

Burke Etienne

Burke Etienne and his wife, Carol, live on Quaker Road in Perry County. They have three adult children — Zach, Adrienne Notess and Ariel. They also have five grandsons.

He is employed at Domtar Paper where he is the purchasing/storeroom manager.

Prior to working at Domtar, he was employed at AEP/Indiana Michigan Power in Rockport for 13 years.

Etienne has successfully completed Jeff-Boat Training School and American Electric Power maintenance training.

Etienne is a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tell City where he is a Eucharistic minister.

KEVIN WANINGER,
District 6 Incumbent

Kevin Waninger

Kevin Waninger and his wife, Kim, live in Rome.They have three children — Klyne, Mason and Mia. Waninger has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Southern Indiana and an MBA from Louisiana State University. He is also a certified financial planner practitioner (C.F.P.). He is the owner of the Ameriprise Financial Services franchise in Tell City.

Waninger has been active in the community by participating in the following organizations: Leadership Perry County, Kiwanis, Perry County Memorial Hospital Foundation board, St. Paul Church financial committee, Little League baseball, Perry County Youth Soccer, Tell City Wrestling Club board and Tell City girls’ softball.

He has completed the NRECA director certification program to become a Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD).
