What have you enjoyed most about your job?

I have had the pleasure of helping many people over these last 29 years — not only in our backyard, but also during hurricane restoration and even in Guatemala twice. It’s been a blessing to use my skills to bring light to people.

What are you looking forward to?

Moving south! I am looking forward to doing whatever my wife wants me to do and traveling to see my kids whenever we want.

End Note:

I am thankful for the lifestyle that Marshall County REMC has afforded me and my family over the years. I hope that I have left the place better than I found it! I wish the best for my fellow employees.

Ruth Spencer | Billing/Payroll Clerk | 18 years of service

What have you enjoyed most about your job?

I have enjoyed working with our local agencies to provide help for our members in need. I have met a lot of wonderful people, and working alongside them to get them the help they need has truly been a blessing.

What are you looking forward to?

My husband and I are looking forward to doing some traveling. We love to camp. We are looking forward to spending more time with our family. I am also looking forward to volunteering in my community. God has given me a heart for people, and I am excited to see where he will be leading me in this area.

End Note:

I am so very thankful and blessed to have been able to work for Marshall County REMC for the past 18 years. Even though I am excited for retirement, I am equally sad to leave. It is a great company with employees who are like family. I will miss my job and fellow employees.

The board of directors and employees ofMarshall County REMC thank Mac Lain and Spencer for their many years of dedicated service and wish them a long and happy retirement.
