We are proud of the programs we offer that focus on young people in our communities.

Every year, high school juniors from all around Indiana are selected to participate in a trip to Washington, D.C. This year, we are sponsoring five students on this amazing trip of a lifetime. High school juniors were asked to submit an application and write a short essay on the cooperative difference.

The students chosen to participate in the 2017 Youth Tour are Rebekah Barger, New Washington High School; Ethan Furnish, Our Lady of Providence High School; Nicholas Meriwether, Silver Creek High School; Kyle Shields, Scottsburg Senior High School; and Kyle Tucker, Silver Creek High School.

This year, we are also sending Amber Bowman, member specialist, from Clark County REMC. She will chaperone the trip and is excited to take in all of the sights and rich history.

They will all have a fantastic time meeting other students from across the country and seeing the sights in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to the winners and their families!
