When it comes to lighting, the potential for energy efficiency is just too great to ignore. Around the home, changing bulbs can change your electric bill, and the monthly savings can add up quickly.

Kankakee Valley REMC would like to continue helping you save energy and money when purchasing LEDs. Since 2016, your cooperative has been selling LEDs in our office at a discounted price. Best of all, the LEDs are Energy Star rated!

If you didn’t pick up your LEDs in 2018, don’t worry they are back for 2019, too! We have expanded our selection to now include candelabra LEDs. KV REMC member-consumers can purchase up to 30 LEDs per year at our office.

We carry the following selection with prices starting at just $1:

• 60-watt equivalent daylight — $1
• 60-watt equivalent soft white — $1
• 65-watt equivalent can light (dimmable) — $2.50
• 100-watt equivalent daylight — $2.50
• 40-watt equivalent candelabra — $3.50.

Longevity and cost of operation are the two key reasons to make the change to LEDs at your home. LEDs will last you many, many years and save you money year after year too. If you are in the market to replace the CFLs or incandescent bulbs in your home, stop by the office.
